A new volume in the Théa Medical Library

“The eye in history”

Most of the things we take for granted today did not just happen. In “the Eye in history”, the latest volume of the Théa Medical Library collection, Professor Harminder S. DUA and Mr. Richard KEELER take us back in time on a wonderful journey through the history of ophthalmic instruments and treatments.

This book is a compilation of articles on instruments, books and individuals that shaped the course of ophthalmology. A gold mine of material and information shared by two international renowned experts both passionate about ophthalmology and its history.

Those that are ignorant of the rich history of the evolution of ophthalmology are missing out on the fascinating and timely discoveries that make up the profession today. They would find it very advantageous to study ophthalmic history so that they can learn from the successes and failures of the past – R. KEELER

We are creating history and living through history while we march into the future. “Today is the yesterday of tomorrow”, “What is today state of the art will tomorrow be relegated to the dustbin of history” – H. S. DUA.
